From dreamy jaunts along the Mediterranean to once-in-a-lifetime safari experiences and a tropical escape in Central America, these are the best places to book a Culture Trip in July 2024.

The Great Migration of wildebeest in Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

Immersive Kenya

There’s one standout reason why July is the perfect time of year to visit Kenya – the Great Migration. Over a million charging wildebeest begin to head over to the country’s Masai Mara from the Serengeti around mid-July. This migration continues over the next month or so, while the reverse journey is usually done in September. The July departure for our eight-day Kenyan escape falls perfectly in the middle of the month. You’ll stay at a luxurious campsite in the heart of the Mara and have an entire day dedicated to safari where, as well as the wildebeest, you can expect to spot all of the Big Five. Join us in East Africa on 14 July for the wildlife adventure of a lifetime.

Greek Island Odyssey

The words Mediterranean and summer go together like feta and olives, which is why we can’t talk about dreamy July destinations without mentioning Greece. Our eight-day island-hopping adventure allows you to indulge in all of the Greek classics. History buffs will marvel at the Acropolis in Athens, while water babies will fall in love with Milos on a hidden beach-finding boat cruise. Foodies can have their appetite satisfied with an authentic cooking class in rural Naxos, while those who like a little bit of glamour can bathe in the beauty of a Santorini sunset. You can book your spot on our 7 July departure right now, so what are you waiting for?

Seductive Southern Italy

Let’s get back to the Med and over to the sparkling waters of the Amalfi Coast. This 10-day jaunt is a real ode to the romance of coastal Italy, starting on the charming old streets of Naples, where an unforgettable street food tour awaits. Then we road trip along the Amalfi, stopping off in quaint seaside towns and hopping onboard a boat cruise. Full up on seafood pasta, gelato and limoncello, we’ll head across from west to east. Inland stops include the unique hilltop town of Matera and the quirky trulli huts of Alberobello, as well as the vineyards and olive groves of the Itria Valley, which we’ll explore by e-bike. We’ll eventually see the sea once more, spending a day on the glorious beaches of Polignano a Mare, before visiting some of the most beautiful towns and cities in Puglia, ending up in Lecce, AKA the Florence of the South. Will you join us in Naples on 20 July?

KEEN TO EXPLORE THE WORLD?

Connect with like-minded people on our premium trips curated by local insiders and with care for the world

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
