From converted cruise liners to cozy bistros, Suva‘s restaurants are unique and offer a selection of options for everyone. Being the capital of Fiji, Suva is the biggest and busiest hub in the nation, with many business headquarters based here – making it an ideal location for the hotpot of international and local cuisine on offer.

Governors

Restaurant, Oceanian, Seafood, European

Governors is a unique museum-themed gourmet coffee house and restaurant, reminiscent of the old colonial days of Fiji. Located in the old Heritage Mall, which was once the residence of the Fijian High Chief Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna, Governors is open for breakfast and lunch daily, with dinner on Thursday and Friday nights. From fresh seafood from the Fiji Islands to New Zealand lamb, the menu is influenced with and inspired by what could have been on offer on the old steamer ships of the late-19th century in the Pacific.

Daikoku

Restaurant, Japanese, Sushi, Asian

Daikoku has premises in both Suva and Nadi and is a favorite for Japanese cuisine in both locations. Offering teppanyaki meals cooked with flair, as well as more traditional sushi rolls and sashimi, Daikoku prides itself on top-notch service, bringing Japanese culture, customs and traditions to Fiji while promoting local employment.

Eden Bistro & Bar

Bar, Bistro, Restaurant, Oceanian, Seafood, European, Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-free

Eden Bistro & Bar in Suva is a little bit of a local’s insider secret. With a variety of Fijian, Indian and traditional Western meals, this establishment offers great food with outstanding service. Guests are frequently commenting on how fresh the seafood tastes. There’s nothing too over-the-top about this bistro, but it consistently serves up impressive meals, which is why it has so many repeat customers.

Levuka

Restaurant, Contemporary, Oceanian

Levuka is one of the fine dining restaurants at Suva’s Grand Pacific Hotel – a ‘grand old lady’ of Fiji. Built in the 1900s and completely refurbished since then, the hotel is classic colonial-style architecture at its finest. The Levuka restaurant is named after the former capital of Fiji, which was once a busy trading area and still retains a number of colonial-style buildings. The restaurant expands outward, overlooking the pool deck and Suva Harbour, creating a perfect setting at any time of day.
