Blissful Bali

This little Indonesian paradise has become a haven for spiritual travellers the world over, but you don’t have to worry about tourist traps or overly Westernised experiences on our 12-day trip to Bali. The tour is defined by three pillars of wellness travel – outdoor adventure, enriching cultural experiences and some well-earned relaxation. On the outdoorsy front you’ll trek through magical rice paddy forests, snorkel with sea turtles and ascend Mount Batur at sunrise, for awe-inspiring views of the island at dawn. Cultural experiences include crafting your own handmade offering to place in a sacred temple, taking part in an authentic local cooking class and experiencing a traditional Balinese blessing ceremony. Towards the end of our itinerary you’ll discover pure tropical bliss as we escape to the tiny island of Gili Trawangan, where a luxurious beach resort awaits. Spa time, pool time or beach time – the choice is yours!

Bubbling pools at Volcano Lodge and Springs in the Arenal volcano region of Costa Rica

The Real Costa Rica

We’ll show you three very different sides to wellness across three totally different landscapes in this eight-day tour of rural Costa Rica. First up is Arenal Volcano National Park, the fiery mountain at the core of this region powers an endless supply of magical hot springs. You’ll get to soak in its warm geothermal waters both in our hotel and at Ecotermales Fortuna. After that we’ll escape high into the mountains and the cloud forests of Monteverde. Our country lodge is truly remote, and the natural beauty surrounding us will be truly life affirming. We’ll wrap things up in Tamarindo, a Pacific beach town with impeccable surf vibes – the perfect place to try some yoga, hit the waves or simply chill on the beach.

Trinity Gergeti Church, Kazbegi, Georgia

Georgia and the Caucasus

Never underestimate the healing power of the mountains. The high Caucasus surrounding Georgia, on the fringes of Europe and Asia, are utterly spellbinding. They act as a kind of impenetrable shield from the real world, as you get to immerse yourself in one of the world’s most ancient cultures, and some of its most spectacular scenery, too. This nine-day tour very much takes the fresh air approach to wellness, with a trek through the luscious forests of Lagodekhi National Park and a hike to the fairytale Gergeti Church, found in the dramatic shadow of Europe’s fifth tallest peak. You’ll also indulge in hearty Georgian cuisine and learn about the world’s oldest winemaking techniques. By the time we reach our last day your mind and soul will have been thoroughly soothed, but what about the body? Well, that’s when Tbilisi’s sulphur baths come into play – these hot springs have soaked and steamed weary travellers since the fifth century.

KEEN TO EXPLORE THE WORLD?

Connect with like-minded people on our premium trips curated by local insiders and with care for the world

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
